This Week’s Illustration Friday was “tree,” and since I’m in the middle of a tree (sort of) drawing, I thought I might as well post my in-progress drawing.

This is a still life drawing of one of the tree lights we made for our wedding. I’m happy with the result so far, but since I’m only working on it 0-15 minutes a day, progress is not exactly light-speed. I might finish it by 2013. Might.

I’m doing this drawing (and really all drawing currently) on my iPad 2. This means I’m stuck with relatively low resolution images, but it’s helping me became familiar with drawing using a screen, and with luck it will keep my skills sharp until I can work with higher resolution or, you know, paper.
